Voter Registration

We believe that an informed and engaged voting citizenry is essential to the healthy functioning of our democracy. To that end, Educational Equity Consultants offers the following services to help promote voter engagement and preparedness.

VOTER REGISTRATION

We will come to your school or organization and register voters. We will organize a day to be present at your location and will walk folks through the process from beginning to end – all your constituents will need to do is mail or deliver their registration when it is complete.

VOTING SPECIALIST TRAINING

We will train your staff or representatives how to register voters. If you want to be able to increase the voter rolls on an ongoing basis, we can train some specialists at your location who will be available to register folks to vote whenever they can.

VOTER EDUCATION WORKSHOPS

We will organize voter education workshops. Voter empowerment starts with voter education – you have to know your rights and not be dissuaded from voting. We will let you know what to expect at the polls, what pollworkers can and cannot do,and what to look out for to ensure your vote counts. We can also help you identify ways to increase voter turnout among your own cohorts. For example, an accountability group is a great way to make sure you and a group of friends and family make it to the polls on voting day.

RESOURCES

ACCEPTABLE VOTER ID

Missouri’s voter ID law (HB 1631), effective on June 1, 2017, outlines identification options for registered Missouri voters to use on Election Day at their polling location. Most Missourians have a Missouri Driver’s License or Nondriver License, which is an acceptable photo ID for voting. There are also plenty of other options, too.

Option 1: Provide a Missouri issued Driver or Non-Driver license, U.S. Passport, or Military ID
Option 2: Provide a secondary form of identification, such as a paycheck or bank statement.
Option 3: If the voter has no form of identification, but is a registered voter, they may cast a provisional ballot.

Missouri’s voter ID law also requires the state of Missouri to assist voters who might not have a photo ID in obtaining one.
